The Story

When accommodations were scarce after Hurricane Katrina, Target Hospitality delivered an offshore solution — the MV Dream cruise ship. This customized floatel accommodated 1,100 FEMA, USPHS, and student relief workers over the course of five months. From security to 24-hour catering, Target Hospitality staffed and managed the entire operation.

Key Challenges

Provide immediate housing solution in a place where there was no time, or land, to build a camp.

The Extra Mile

Target Hospitality donated 1,000 lunches as part of the “Bring New Orleans Back” Volunteer project.
