The Story

When a stable living environment isn’t available, you make one. That’s exactly what Target Hospitality did after Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans. In a matter of days, Target Hospitality built a 700-person modular camp complete with running water, electricity and on-site kitchen facilities that fed workers four hot meals daily as well as a 24-hour snack and beverage service.

Key Challenges

No power. No drinking water. No source of supplies. Closed roads. Alligators. Snakes. Wild boar. Rioting.

The Extra Mile

Our camp never closed, and we never missed a meal, even after a second Category 5 hurricane forced another evacuation of New Orleans following Katrina.
