The Story

When one of our clients wanted to expand their operation in the Bakken there was only one thing stopping them — a lack of workforce housing. Instead of waiting for permits which were slow in coming due to local politics, we partnered with a construction company who already had the paperwork but not the client. The result: The Williams County Lodge. Modeled after our highly successful Bear Paw Lodge on the eastern edge of Williston, North Dakota, this lodge has all the same comforts and amenities but is located west of city which allows our guests to avoid downtown traffic on their way to the well site.

Key Challenges

Limited land availability and a moratorium on lodge construction.

The Extra Mile

Knowing that our client might need to expand further in the future, we added on 129 more rooms to the project and still opened on time and on budget.
