Finding a Burger Good Enough to be Crowned Top Burger at the Frac Shack

Target Hospitality is committed to meeting our guests’ needs and surpassing their expectations during the “other 12 hours” of their day. And we realize that sometimes, after a long shift, the most important need might not be our comfortable mattresses with 250-thread-count linens, workout facilities, or in-room entertainment system. Sometimes, the greatest need is just a really good burger.

Meeting this need is so important that we recently added a new, 3600-square-foot restaurant-style dining facility called “The Frac Shack” to our Pecos location, and our guests have given the facility raved reviews. With several big-screen televisions, they now have a nice place to unwind and watch sports while enjoying a great meal. From the chicken wings and bratwursts to our famous hand-cut French fries and wood-fired pizzas, the Frac Shack offers diners made-to-order food items and an extensive salad bar like they’d expect at any restaurant.

But of course, we knew there was one popular menu item that we had to get just right. That’s why we asked our guests to pick a new signature burger in a blind taste test.

After our employees narrowed the field to six different burgers, the final decision was in the hands of 150 taste-testers. After much consideration, debate and too many samples to count, the single-patty Target Burger was crowned Top Burger.

Our guests are still encouraged to build their own one-of-a-kind burgers using any of the ingredients from the “Fixin’s Bar.” The runner-up burgers are also expected to appear on the menu again as daily specialties. But, no matter the variety, our burgers will always be hand-formed and served with our famous fries. 

The goal here is simple: make our guests feel comfortable and enjoy their time away from their job. In addition to the comfortable beds and quality workout facilities, we want to provide our guests with the hospitality they deserve and the motivation to rest up, kick back and get ready for the next shift change.
